Career
Nisit Pramanik started his political journey in 2019 when he joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC) party of India in 2018 where he was appointed as the TMC youth wing leader. He was expelled from the party in 2018 and then decided to join the BJP before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Pramanik conducted the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and won the seat by a good margin. In May 2021, Nisith served as a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly from Dinhatta constituency for ten days. In July 2021, Nisit Pramanik was part of the central government cabinet reshuffle. He was sworn in as Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs and Minister of State in the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. He was sworn in on July 7, 2021.
