Veda Krishnamurthy was born on 16 October 1992 (age: 26 years old as in 2018) in Kadur, Karnataka, India. When he was just 3 years old, he started playing street cricket. Since childhood, he wanted to be a cricketer and play for his country someday. He attended Cambridge School in Bangalore, Karnataka for his primary education. He was also enrolled in karate courses by his parents, but he did not like karate. However, at the age of 12, he earned a black belt in karate. In 2005, when he was 13 years old, he started his cricket training at the Karnataka Cricket Institute. At the request of the coach, his father moved him to Bengaluru. His coach Irfan Sait noticed his talent and developed him into a very good cricketer. Veda also credits Irfan Sait as his first coach. Growing up, Mithali watched Raj play and wanted to play with him someday. Veda has played with Mithali Raj in WODI and WT20 cricket and they are good friends. For his higher education, he enrolled at Mount Carmel College in Bangalore, Karnataka and earned a degree in Arts.

At the age of 18, she made her Women One Day International (WODI) debut against England Women in Derby in June 2011. He scored a half-century (51 runs) in his debut match. He made his T20 debut on the same tour against Australia in the quadrilateral series in Billericay, England. Krishnamurthy was part of the Indian Women in the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2017 when the Indian Women lost to the England Women by 9 runs. Krishnamurthy scored 35 runs in this match. She is the third female cricketer in India to play in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL). He signed a contract with the Hobart Hurricanes for the third season of the WBBL. She is the youngest player for India Women to score 1000 runs in WODIs.
