Wiki/Biography
Jitesh Mohan Sharma was born on Friday, October 22, 1993 (age 29 years; as of 2022) in Amravati, Maharashtra. His zodiac sign is Libra.
He studied till 12th grade. Jitesh wanted to join the Indian Armed Forces since his childhood. He initially started playing cricket during his school days as it gave him an opportunity to skip classes. He continued the sport to get extra marks for enlisting in the Indian Army. Speaking about the same in an interview, Jitesh said:
I really wanted to join the armed forces. In Maharashtra school cricket, you will get 4% grace in army tests if you play state cricket. I joined my school team because they were playing at the state level. I decided to give it a try and started playing sports. My father never asked me and the funny thing is, my mother still doesn’t know that I play at an IPL-like level. None of my cricketing friends play sports in those days – they have normal jobs now.
Furthermore, Jitesh spoke about how he decided to pursue his cricket career,
For some reason cricket followed me. Once there were state trials, BCCI U-16 tournament and I scored runs there. But even then I had Air Force as my first option and I told this again to my father. He agreed with my ambition but only asked me to continue playing cricket to maintain my fitness level. Next year I wanted to continue playing so I went for the under-19 trials and when I got selected there I thought I could make something out of this cricket.”
