First Class Cricket (Test Match)
Cameron started playing in the U-13 Junior Cricket League at the age of 10 at Subiaco-Floreat Cricket Club. He made his first-class cricket debut for the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) at the age of 16. Impressed by his performance, the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) signed him to a new contract ahead of the 2016–17 Sheffield Shield season. He played 8 matches in the National Under-19 League, averaging 20 runs per innings and taking a total of 20 wickets.
He took 5/24 in 8.1 overs against Tasmania in the first innings to become the youngest player to take a 5-wicket haul in the Sheffield Shield.
He had a major breakthrough in the 2019-20 Marsh Sheffield Shield season when he scored 87/167 while playing at No. 8 and 121/172 on playing number. 9 against Queensland. Earlier he was known as a bowling all-rounder but with this innings he made his name in batting as well.
