Vikramjit Singh was born on Thursday 9 January 2003 (age 20 years; as of 2023) in Cheema Khurd, Punjab, India. His zodiac sign is Capricorn. Khushi Cheema, Singh’s grandfather, fled anti-Sikh riots in Punjab, India in 1984 and sought refuge in the Netherlands. Khushi started her career as a taxi driver before starting her own transport business in Amstelveen. In the years that followed, the family moved back and forth between the Netherlands and India before choosing to stay permanently in the Netherlands when Vikramjit Singh was seven years old.

Vikramjit Singh made his international cricket debut for the Dutch A team at the age of 15. Singh also played for the Netherlands U-19 national cricket team in the 2019 U-19 World Cup European Qualifiers. His 304 runs in five innings during the tournament gave him the second-highest runs, while his personal best was 133 runs against France.
Vikramjit Singh was selected in September 2019 to play in the Netherlands Twenty20 International (T20I) team for the Ireland Tri-Nation series held during the 2019–20 season. On 19 September 2019, he represented the Netherlands against Scotland in their debut T20I match.
In April 2020, Vikramjit Singh was selected as one of seventeen cricketers from the Netherlands to join the senior national team. On 11 May 2021, Singh played in his first List A match for the Netherlands A team against Wolves of Ireland on their tour of Ireland. In the same month, he was selected to represent Holland in the One Day International (ODI) team for their series against Scotland. In February 2022, Vikramjit Singh was selected as part of the Dutch ODI cricket team for their series against New Zealand. - Peter Boren, the Netherlands captain, spotted Singh when he was eleven and encouraged him to join the VRA Amsterdam cricket team. Soon, he began training for several years in cricket at the Amit and Boren Unyal Academy in Chandigarh.
