Yashaswi Jaiswal is an Indian all-rounder who played for Mumbai in domestic cricket and Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is considered as a hard-hitting opening batsman and has scored hundreds of wickets in his cricketing journey.

Yashaswi Bhupendra Kumar Jaiswal was born on Friday 28 December 2001 (age 21 years; as of 2022) in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, Suriyavan, India. His zodiac sign is Capricorn. He was interested in cricket since childhood; However, he did not have access to educational facilities because he was in poor financial condition. In 2012, at the age of eleven, he moved to Mumbai to pursue his cricketing dreams. After moving to Mumbai, he met his uncle Santosh who had a small house; However, his uncle could not accommodate him as there was no room for him in the house. His uncle helped him get a job on a dairy farm where he was allowed to sleep. Yashaswi studied at Anjuman Islam Urdu High School, CST Mumbai during the day and played cricket in the afternoon, as a result of which he was unable to work effectively and was eventually expelled from the dairy farm.

He later joined the United Muslim Cricket Club in Azad Maidan, Mumbai, where he slept in a gardener’s tent. He started playing regular cricket in the club and in the evening he sold panipuri and fruits. Although he did not like to sell them, he sold them to support himself.

While practicing in the nets, he was spotted one day by coach Jwala Singh, who was impressed with his batting as he played smoothly on a hard pitch where other cricketers struggled. Jwala took him under his wing and gave him a place to stay, after which his father made Jwala Singh his legal guardian. After that he embarked on a cricketing journey and never looked back.

In 2018, he was selected in the Indian U-19 squad and helped the team win the 2018 U-19 Asia Cup; He was the highest scorer with 318 runs and won the player of the tournament award.
