Beth Mooney is an Australian cricketer who plays for the national cricket team. He plays for Western Australia and the Perth Scorchers at domestic level. She became the world’s number one batsman in WT20I cricket at the end of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020.

Bethany Louise Moon was born on Friday 14 January 1994 (age 29 years; as of 2023) in Shepparton, Victoria, Australia. His zodiac sign is Capricorn. An athlete since childhood, he grew up playing many sports, from soccer to tennis and Australian rules football. He began his cricketing journey shortly before his eighth birthday when he was invited to fill in for his brother in the Kialla Lakes Cricket Club team. In an interview, recalling the same, he said:
I used to play cricket in the backyard with my family all the time and one day my brother (Tommy)’s team was short a player and Dad said, ‘Why don’t you bat. I didn’t hesitate. I loved being outside. None of the guys complained, although I had a great leg on a good leg where you put the worst player on. Since then I have been playing cricket. That’s how it all started.”
The invitation turned into his regular appearances at Kialla Lakes Cricket Club. At the age of 10, Mooney and his family moved to Hervey Bay, Queensland, from Shepparton, Victoria. There he attended Star of the Sea Catholic Elementary School and Xavier Catholic College. He spent his childhood in Hervey Bay cycling along the esplanade early in the morning to school with his father and taking their dog, Jasper, on sea kayaks. He emerged as the best catcher in his team at the Hervey Bay Zone Trials in Queensland. Hence, his coach Richard Dugdale suggested that he try wicketkeeping. At the age of 16, she made her debut for the Queensland Fire in the Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL) in 2010. He represented Queensland from 2009/10 to 2021/22.
