Dr. Gurpreet Kaur was born in 1990 (age 32; as of 2022) in Pehowa, Haryana. As of 2022, his family lives in Tilak Colony, Ward-5, Pehowa, Haryana. From 2013 to 2018, he pursued MBBS from Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Moulana, Ambala, Haryana. He was a gold medalist in MBBS. He then started practicing as a doctor at a Punjab hospital in Mohali.

He was also invited as a special guest at the swearing-in ceremony of Bhagwant Mani as the 17th Chief Minister of Punjab in 2022. According to reports, Gurpreet was chosen for Bhagwant Mani by her mother and sister. It is also said that the marriage was planned in 2021, but due to unavoidable circumstances, their marriage was postponed. On 7 July 2022, she married Bhagwant Mann, who was previously married to Inderpreet Kaur. The wedding ceremony was held at Gurudwara Sahib Ji Patshahi Daswin, Sector 8, Chandigarh. Bhagwant and Gurpreet have an age gap of almost 16 years.
