Anu Sithara Pulivetty Salam was born on Monday, 21 August 1995 (age 27 years; as of 2022) in Kalpeta, Wayanad, Kerala. He completed his schooling from SKMJ Higher Secondary School, Kalpeta, Wayanad, Kerala. He did his BA from WMO Arts and Science College, Muttil, Kalpetta, Wayanad, Kerala. She is a professional dancer who pursued her higher studies with Mohiniyattam as her main subject at Kalamandalam in Kerala. She is passionate about dance and started a dance school (Navarasa) at her home in 2020. In an interview, she revealed that her mother’s friend Renjin starred in Anu’s 2013 Malayalam film Pottas Bomb. Renjini sent the photos of Sithara to the film crew, after which Anu was invited for auditions and got the role.
