Dinesh Bana was born on Wednesday, 15 December 2004 (age 17 years; as of 2021) in village Dhansu, Hisar, Haryana. His zodiac sign is Sagittarius. He has been training since 2012 at St. Sophia Sports Academy, Haryana under the mentorship and training of coach Ranveer Jakhar. Dinesh was doing well academically, so his father wanted him to become an engineer. However, Dinesh had a keen interest in cricket and wanted to pursue it more seriously. U-19 World Cup 2022
In the semi-final against Australia, Dinesh produced a short but spectacular performance in which he played fiercely in 500 balls. He scored 20 runs in 4 balls which includes 2 sixes and 2 fours and set the record as the first cricketer in the world to score runs from boundaries only by playing 4 or more women’s balls.
In the U-19 World Cup final against England, India were chasing a target of 190 and needed 12 runs in 3 overs with 4 wickets remaining. Nishant Sindhu hit a four and then took a shot off Dinesh Bana. Bana hit fast bowler James Sales for a six. He took another six with a full toss that followed long-on, which saw India win the U-19 World Cup in 2022. He remained unbeaten with 13 runs off 5 balls and took 4 catches.
Ending a match with a six, especially a team winning the World Cup trophy, made fans remember Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s match-winning six at the Wankhede Stadium in the 2011 World Cup. Dinesh’s father has set up a big screen in front of his house in Sector 14, Hisar, so that his family and neighbors can watch him play. After the historic victory, his family celebrated with fireworks and distribution of sweets. The next day, Dinesh’s family, neighbors and friends from the academy played Holi with Gulal and danced to the beat of the dhol.
His father said that he was extremely happy and proud of his son and was sure that his son would continue to bring laurels to the family. His sister Nitika said:
