U-19 World Cup 2022
In the semi-final against Australia, Dinesh produced a short but spectacular performance in which he played fiercely in 500 balls. In the U-19 World Cup final against England, India were chasing a target of 190 and needed 12 runs in 3 overs with 4 wickets remaining. Nishant Sindhu hit a four and then took a shot off Dinesh Bana. He remained unbeaten with 13 runs off 5 balls and took 4 catches.
Ending a match with a six, especially a team winning the World Cup trophy, made fans remember Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s match-winning six at the Wankhede Stadium in the 2011 World Cup.
