Facts/Trivia
- He once said in an interview:
“Playing overseas has changed my mindset. Different challenging wickets you can bat on, facing tall, fast and sophisticated bowlers, hard fields that don’t matter to your shots. I didn’t get to play all that in India. I still have a lot to learn and experience.”
In addition, he adds,
“My father always says, ‘Be consistent and prove yourself again and again’… I’m willing to wait… If it’s my destiny, it will happen.”
- Once he was asked about the legendary cricketer’s son, to which he replied:
“Being the son of a legendary cricketer. It has its pros and cons. I faced more pressure than ever. People wanted me to keep wickets like my father, which was humanly impossible, they didn’t understand. I always loved the pressure; it brought out the best in me. The adrenaline rush is what I crave and I get that in pressure situations. I get a lot of respect outside of cricket just because I’m the son of celebrities, which is very It’s convincing.”
