Bawanaka Sandeep was born on 25 April 1992 (age 28; as of 2020), in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. His full name is Bavanaka Parameshwar Sandeep. He completed his schooling from St. Andrew’s High School in 2007, one of the best schools in Hyderabad for cricket training. After graduation, he enrolled in TKR College of Engineering and Technology under the sports quota. He even captained his school and college cricket teams for several years.

Career
Sandeep scored a solid run in junior level cricket for Hyderabad at U-11, U-13, U-15, U-17 and U-19 and proved it with his performances quite early in his career.

On 10 November 2010, at the age of 18, he played his first first-class match, which was against Ranchi Jharkhand, in which he played a brilliant innings of 144 runs. A century in the first match earned him a South Zone berth for the Duleep Trophy and from then on, Sandeep became one of the key batsmen in the Hyderabad batting line-up.

His batting average was over 55 in his first two first-class seasons. Sandeep was Hyderabad’s top scorer in the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy. 
Sandeep was primarily a red ball cricketer since he started playing professional cricket; However, given the growing popularity of T20 cricket, it also improved the white ball game. He was Hyderabad’s leading run-scorer during the 2019/20 Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 competition.
In November 2018, Sandeep reached the milestone of 3000 runs in his first-class cricket career. Ever since the IPL started in 2008, Sandeep has dreamed of being a part of the tournament. Finally, his dream came true in December 2019 when Sunrisers Hyderabad bought him at his base price of Rs 20 lakh. After representing Hyderabad in the domestic circuit for nearly a decade, Sandeep has decided to play away to Goa in the upcoming domestic seasons. According to reports, the reason for switching to the Goa side was politics in the Hyderabad Cricket Association, which was also cited by various Hyderabad players, including Ambati Rayudu.

- Sandeep was a right-handed batsman in his childhood. It was his father who changed Batt’s style and made him left-handed.
