Monika Chellaram Patel was born on Monday, April 26, 1999 (age 24 years; as of 2023) in Bangalore, Karnataka. His zodiac sign is Taurus. He was born in a Rajasthani family and moved to Bangalore with his family in his youth. When he was a child, he started playing cricket with his brother in their colony. He always swam and never liked bowling. When neighbors saw his skills, they offered his family vocational training. He started training at a local cricket club and on his first day at the club, he took the captain’s wicket and received much praise from his coach. His coach suggested that he become a bowler, but he made it clear that he wanted to bat. Later, he asked her to try her best to become an all-rounder.

Domestic cricket

She was part of the Karnataka women’s team before making her international debut. He took six wickets in the 2018-2019 one-day tournament. In 2019, he took four wickets in the same tournament but returned home amid the tournament as it was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In January 2021, he played in the Falcons Sports Club Golden Jubilee T-20 tournament where he took three wickets.

International cricket

In March 2021, he got a call to be selected in the Indian squad for the series against South Africa. He made his ODI debut on 7 March 2021 against South Africa in Lucknow. On 13 February 2023, Gujarat Giants bought him for Rs. 30 Lakhs for WPL Auction 2023. Women’s Premier League will start on 4th March 2023 at DY Patil Stadium and the first match will be played between Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians.
