Omkar Salvi played cricket for Railways in 2004–05 season, Karnataka Sports Association in 2008–09 and 2009–10 seasons, Railways Sports Promotion Board XI in 2009–10 season and Central Railways from 2009 to 2013.
Coach
Omkar Salvi served as the bowling coach of the Mumbai team before joining the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as the assistant bowling coach. In May 2023, he became the head coach of the Mumbai team. He also trained budding cricketers at the Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy in Mumbai in 2016.
