politics
After graduation, Darshana was elected as the General Secretary of Jeevan Bharti School of Education, Vadodara, Gujarat in 1976. In 1980, he was elected as his class representative at his college, Sir KP College of Commerce, Surat. After graduation, in 1987, he took up the position of Director at Surat Mahila Nagrik Sahkari Bank, Surat, Gujarat. In 1995, he served as the convener of the cultural committee in the Surat Municipal School Board. In 2001, he was elected as a board member of the Gujarat Social Welfare Board. In 2003, he worked in Surat Mahila Nagrik Sahkar Bank as a Managing Director. In 2004, he held the position of Vice-Chairman in the Surat Municipal Corporation Health Committee. Darshana contested in the 15th Lok Sabha in 2009 and was elected as a member of Bharatiya Janata Party from Surat district of Gujarat. In the same year, Darshana Jardosh supported the diamond trade in Surat and requested the Indian government to open an international airport in Surat. In 2014, she again contested the 16th Lok Sabha elections and won with 5,33,190 votes, which was considered to be the highest margin secured by a woman member in the electoral history of India after Smt. Indira Gandhi. In 2019, he again contested the 17th Lok Sabha elections and won by 7,95,651 votes.

Social and cultural activities
Darshana Jardosh was elected as the President of Women’s Lions Club, Sanar, Surat in 1999. Darshana was elected Director of Sanskriti, Arts and Cultural Organization in 1999. This organization was specifically concerned with promoting girls’ education, political and social awareness for women and youth, and women’s empowerment in India.
