Vikas Singh is an Indian contractor, social worker and politician known as the Bahubali leader in Ayodhya. He was arrested in June 2023 for helping accomplices of dreaded gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

Vikas Singh was born on 23 November in Deogarh, Ayodhya (then Faizabad), Uttar Pradesh, India. His zodiac sign is Sagittarius. Career
In the 2000s and early 2010s, he was associated with Ayodhya local leader and MLA Abhay Singh. Later, they parted ways due to some differences and Vikas joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He became very close to Indra Pratap Tiwar alias Khabu Tiwar, a BJP politician. In the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, he campaigned for Khabu Tiwari’s wife Aarti Tiwari; However, he lost the election.

Confrontation
Arrest in June 2023
On 20 June 2023, he was arrested in Delhi in a case registered under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) after notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi disclosed his name during interrogation. It was later revealed that Vikas had given shelter to various members of the Bishnoi gang. Deepak Surakhpur and Divyanshu, a resident of Faizabad, were said to have attacked the Punjab Intelligence headquarters in Mohali in May 2022. They later stayed at Vikas’s residence in his village Deogarh and his flat at 77/04 A Block, Gomti Lucknows, Gomti Nagar Vitar, for many days. The duo was also involved in the murders of businessman Sanjay Biyani in Nanded and Rana Kandhowalia in Punjab. Surakhpuri was allegedly introduced to Vikas Bishnoi by Vicky Midukhera. It was also said that Vikas had also given shelter to Rinku, the accused in Kandhowalya’s murder. In early 2020, Vikas allegedly sheltered Monu Dagar, Pradhan of Bahadurgarh, Cheema of Chandigarh and Rajan of Kurukshetra in his Lucknow apartment. It was later revealed that he was charged in 10 other criminal cases for murder, attempted murder, gun violence and gangsterism. He was produced before the Patiala House Court in New Delhi on 21 June 2023 and vacation judge Pawan Kumar sentenced Vikas to five days of police custody.

- He was also allegedly associated with Shiv Prakash Shukla’s gang in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
- During the campaign for the 2022 UP Assembly elections, a violent fight broke out between Abhay Singh’s followers and Vikas followers, after which the police arrested both and made them sign bonds of Rs 5 crore each.
