The film revolves around former hockey player Kabir Khan, whose image is tarnished by religious prejudice when India loses a hockey match against Pakistan. As the story unfolds, Kabir Khan coaches the Indian women’s national hockey team, which emerges victorious in the World Cup, proving his commitment to the nation.

Our head of the sports department told us that all athletes have to audition because it’s a sports movie. I was in a girls hostel and it was very strict. I went to the auditions at the Tagore Theater in Chandigarh just for fun so that we could all fit in the hostel ‘outside’! I didn’t know that I would be on the short list and they would call me to the city of Tineli.”
- In 2018, he was part of the Lucknow Nawabs team that emerged victorious in the Box Cricket League (BCL). BCL is an Indian sports reality television show that aired on MTV India. In the final, Lucknow Nawabs defeated two-time champions Delhi Dragons and Abrol won the girl of the match title.
