- As a child, Ravi Behli was captured by the American martial artist Bruce Lee. Her charm led her to take karate lessons with a boy named Suresh, who held a black belt in karate. In an interview, Ravi recalled a memory from the days when he saved money specifically to buy nuchaku from a boy in his building.
- In an interview, Behl shared an interesting story about how his passion for karate and nuchaku led to his big break in Hindi cinema with Morchha (1980). Veteran cinematographer Ravikant Nagaich spotted Ravi’s skills at Behli’s house to meet his father. He saw Ravi practicing karate and doing tricks with his nunchaku. One day, Nagaich asked Ravi’s mother, Savita, if she would consider allowing Ravi to appear in the film, as he saw Ravi often practicing with his nuchaku in front of a mirror.
- Ravi Behl showed great interest in dance from childhood. He participated in many dance competitions and won important positions. Speaking about this, she shared in an interview that her childhood friends, actor Javed Jaffrey and TV director Naved Jaffrey, were also fond of dancing.
