Agneya Singh is an acclaimed Indian film director and screenwriter, photographer and journalist, born on 21 July 1989 (age 33 years; as of 2023) in Delhi. Agnea attended school in Delhi and to pursue her interest in film, she went to New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Cinema/Film/Video Studies. During her time at TISCH, Agnea assisted renowned experimental filmmaker Lynn Sachs as a projectionist in the New York Film/Television Department. With no connection or interest in films, Agneya took it to another level and did the best work.

Agney Singh’s father is an Indian businessman, his mother Seema Mustafa is an Indian print and television journalist. He is the founder and currently the editor-in-chief of the digital newspaper “Mokalaki”. Her parents met during their college days and got married and had two children, Agneya and Gayeti Singh. A few years later, both of Agneya’s parents separated and divorced.

Agnea Singh’s first official break in films was ‘M Cream’, a 2014 Indian independent feature film directed by Agnea herself. The film received various international awards, such as the prestigious Grand Prix for Best Feature Film at the Rhode Island International Film Festival. M Cream featured the likes of Imad Shah and Ira Dubey among many others.
