Ravindra Mahajan was an Indian actor, director and producer who worked in the Hindi and Marathi entertainment industries. He is known for acting in popular films like Saat Hindustani (1969), Devta (1983), Mumbaicha Fauzdar (1984), Kalat Nakalat (1990) and Panipat (2019). He is the father of popular Marathi actress Gashmer Mahajan. He breathed his last on July 14, 2023 in Pune, Maharashtra, India.

Ravindra Mahajan was born in 1949 (aged 74 at time of death) in Belgaum, Bombay State (now Karnataka), India. However, according to some sources, he was born in 1946 (aged 77 at time of death) in Belgaum, Bombay Presidency, British India (now Karnataka, India). After spending a few years of his childhood in Belgaum, he moved with his family to Mumbai, where he grew up and completed his formal education. After completing his formal education, he started working as a taxi driver in Mumbai and simultaneously began auditioning in both the Marathi and Hindi entertainment industries.

Ravindra Mahajan died of unknown causes at his flat in Xrbia Housing Society, Ambi Village, Talegaon Dabade District, Pune, Maharashtra on 14 July 2023. Pune police said Mahajan’s body was found in his rented flat after neighbors alerted the authorities about a strong smell coming from his flat. Authorities disclosed that Mahajan had been living in the rented apartment for about eight to nine months and had recently undergone a surgical procedure that limited his mobility.
