Ashok Pathak was born on Thursday, 3 January 1985 (age 38; as of 2022) in Saran village, Faridabad, Haryana. His zodiac sign is Capricorn. He completed his graduation from CRM Jat College, Hisar. While he was pursuing his studies, he joined his college’s theater group and won the Best Actor award four times. After graduation, he went on to do his Master of Arts in Literature from Kurukshetra University, Haryana. He then applied to Bharatendu Natya Academy, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh and was selected. He was the leader of his group there, for which he received a scholarship. After two years of training there, he did a one-year internship at the Bharatendu Natya Academy.

A cotton seller
During his childhood, his family faced various financial difficulties. His father took various odd jobs to make ends meet. When he reached 10th grade, he decided to work and support his family. He started selling cotton on a bicycle with one of his uncles. Even in the hot summer months, he would cycle 25 kilometers to sell cotton. By the time he reached 12th grade, his father’s financial situation had improved. After graduation, he worked in the water treatment division of Jindal Industries Pvt. Limited to Haryana.
Theater artist
After completing his training at Bharatendu Natya Academy, he started doing commercial theater in Haryana and directed plays at Kurukshetra University, Haryana, for which he received Rs 40,000 and moved to Mumbai to try his luck in acting.

- In an interview, he said that he was often bullied as a child for being a Bihari migrant.
- During his school and college days, he was never interested in learning. While in school, he made friends who were older than him, and with them he earned a living eating tobacco, smoking and even drinking. He once said that he was a movie buff in school and college and often used to organize classes to watch movies at theaters.
- After graduation, he came to know about the National School of Drama, New Delhi. Even after applying for NSD twice, he was rejected. He once shared that he was very depressed after being rejected there.
- In his free time, he likes to sing, read books and travel to different places.
- He is often spotted smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol at various events.
- In an interview, she shared that when she first started her career in Bollywood, she was only offered small roles. When a casting agent approached him to audition for Vinod’s character in the Hindi web series Panchayat, he was initially hesitant and kept postponing the audition. He believed that Vinod’s role would also be small and would not contribute much to his career. However, in the end, he agreed to try. Although it was a small role, she gained immense popularity with her portrayal in the serial.
