Preeti Desai was born on Tuesday 29 September 1981 (age 42; as of 2023) in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England. His zodiac sign is Libra. Preeti went to St Augustine’s RC Primary School in Coolby Newham for her early education, then attended Nunthorpe High School in Nunthorpe before moving on to Middlesbrough College for further studies where she did a hair and beauty course. Preeti completed her education and pursued a career as a salon manager for three years. He also worked in his father’s fireworks shop. She left her home in Guisborough, North Yorkshire, to move to London to pursue a modeling career. After her UK, Preeti moved to Mumbai to resume her modeling and film career.

Preeti Desai went brown at Miss Cleveland, which allowed her to compete in the Miss Great Britain beauty pageant held annually in Britain. Pretty won the title and was Miss Great Britain 2006-07. However, Preeti was not the first choice. Daniel Lloyd was the original winner of the title, however he was stripped of the title after he and one of the judges were found to have a conflict of interest. After the scandal that dethroned Daniel, a vote was held to choose the next winner and Preeti Desai received huge support leading to her crowning. He then moved to London to fulfill his duties as ambassador to Great Britain.

In 2008, after completing her embassy, Preeti moved to Mumbai to become a model. In Mumbai, Atul Kasbekar, an ace photographer, represented Preeti, who appeared on the cover of L’officiel magazine with Shahrukh Khan in her very first assignment. His second assignment was with Kingfisher when he appeared in the Kingfisher Calendar in 2008. She was chosen to be on the cover of a special edition Kingfisher Calendar.

Within a year, Preeti also appeared on the cover of Cosmopolitan’s October issue. These assignments led to her becoming a well-known and well-liked face, which subsequently led to her appearing on various covers and also walking for several fashion designers. Preeti Desai made her debut in the film industry playing the character Shalmil in Shor in the City (2011), a crime drama. Critics loved her in the film and she was nominated for Best Actress at the South Asian Rising Star Film Awards in New York in October 2012, presented by SAIFF and HBO.
