Rucha got the first advertisement at the fourth audition. This ad is directed and scripted by Shojit Sarkar. She has appeared in advertisements for several brands including Rummy, Airtel, Domino’s Pizza, Amazon and Maggi alongside superstars like Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan etc.

Rucha Inamdar made her Bollywood debut with ‘Children Of War’ (2014), in which she played the role of Kausar; “Children Of War” is based on real incidents of Bangladesh Genocide and Bangladesh Liberation War.

In 2015, Rucha appeared in the Hindi film Under the Same Sun, playing the role of Yasmeen.

In 2022, he signed the film Minus 31: The Nagpur Files, in which he played the role of a police officer named Preksha Sharma. Speaking about his role in an interview, he said:
Rather than taking inspiration from on-screen cops, I closely observed real cops. I sat with policewomen in police stations and signaled with them as they patrolled. I had dinner and socialized with them. This kind of interaction helped me bring some authenticity to my character. My character Preksha Sharma also has a personal story. But I think the more time I spent with female police officers, the more I realized how brave they are and how they work every day to protect us and keep us normal.”
