Sulakshana Sawant is an Indian politician, school teacher and social worker. She is the former president of BJP Mahila Morcha, Goa and wife of the thirteenth Chief Minister of Goa, Pramod Sawant.

Sulakshana Sawant was born on February 15 in Sankelim, Goa. His zodiac sign is Aquarius. He did his schooling from Sri Shantadurga High School, Bicholim, Goa. From 1997 to 2000, he received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the Govt. College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Sankelim, Goa. In 2002, he completed his MSc in Chemistry from Goa University, Goa. He then did his BA in Mathematics and Science from Nirmala Institute of Education, Panaji, Goa, from 2003 to 2004.

On 14 June 2004, he joined Sri Shantadurga High School, Bicholim, Goa as a Chemistry Teacher.

In March 2016, he was elected as the President of the BJP Mahila Morcha (Goa). One of her main agendas as BJP Mahila Morcha president was to get 33 per cent reservation for women in the party. He even demanded the passage of the reservation bill in the parliament before the 2017 state (Goa) elections. In an interview, he said that for him the nation is ahead of the party. She said,
When we come from the Sangh, the country stands for a party for us. This sense of keeping the nation first is taught by the RSS. When one does social work with this sentiment in mind or enters politics on the principle that the nation should come first, then what we do is for the nation.

- In 2018, he led the BJP Mahila Morcha (Goa) wing to protest against the release of the Hindi film Padmavati, later retitled Padmaavati.

If we look at the numbers, the most important thing is the mentality [of the criminal]. We need to change the mentality as soon as possible. We cannot protect the individual.
