Sophie Ecclestone was born on Thursday 6 May 1999 (age 24; as of 2023) in Chester, Cheshire, England. His zodiac sign is Taurus. He grew up playing cricket and other outdoor sports with his older brother James and father in the Cheshire village of Helsby. It was James who taught him how to play football and cricket. He received his formal cricket training at Alvanley Cricket Club in Helsby under coach Robin Fisher, where his father was the junior coordinator. He attended Helsby High School.

He joined Alvanley Cricket Club at the age of 7. Ecclestone went through the under-13, under-15 and under-17 teams before making her debut for Cheshire’s women’s county team in 2013. She later joined the Lancashire women’s cricket team and made her first-class debut against Nottinghamshire in the Women’s Super League. (Also called Kia Super League).

On 8 October 2016, she made her ODI debut against West Indies Women at Trelawny Stadium, Jamaica, during England Women’s tour of the West Indies. He played a major role in the team’s victory. On 9 November 2017, she made her Test debut against Australia Women at North Sydney Oval in the 2017/18 Sydney Women’s Ashes.
