Salhoutuonuo Kruse is an Indian social activist, politician and entrepreneur who contested the 2023 Nagaland Assembly polls. She came into limelight in March 2023 after she and Hekani Jakhalu became the first women to become members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly.

Social activism
Before becoming a politician, Salhoutuonuo Kruse was associated with several non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Nagaland and worked for women’s rights. In 2011, she assumed the presidency of Angamiaffu Mechu Kroto (now known as Angami Women’s Organization). He remained on the post until 2014.
