Mauris Noronha, popularly known as ‘Mauris Bhai,’ shot his elder son Abhishek Ghosalkar on 8 February 2024, while the incident was being streamed live on Facebook. Politics
Vinod Ghosalkar was elected to the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from the Dahisar constituency in 2009. He started serving as the Shiv Sena’s deputy leader in 2010.

Accused of Mental Torture
In January 2014, the Congress corporator from Dahisar constituency Sheetal Mhatre filed a case against him for writing her phone number on the walls of some public toilets in Dahisar and threatening to hurt her. She accused him of mental torture. In 2018, the court acquitted him of the charges.
Accused of Misusing BMC Funds
In 2015, Vinod Ghosalkar attracted controversy when Sheetal Mhatre stated in a media conference that he used money from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to make a swimming pool, pretending it was a permanent Ganesh immersion pond at Dahisar Sports Foundation.
