Jatin Sapru was born on Tuesday, April 8, 1986 (age 37 years; as of 2023) in Kashmir, India. His zodiac sign is Aries. Jatin Sapru’s family, who were leading a comfortable life in Kashmir, fled Kashmir in the early 90s due to the spread of terrorism in the valley and settled in Delhi.
Jatin grew up in Delhi and graduated from Ryan International School in 2003. He wanted to do something in literature and theater; However, he was encouraged to pursue engineering by his father, who wanted Jatin to start a government job and lead a secure life. During his senior year of college, Sapru interned at a renowned institution in Washington, D.C. called The President Classroom for three months (February 2006 – April 2006). During her internship, she began working as a media and communication assistant, editing media releases and magazines for over a thousand participating students from around the world and organizing workshops for participants at respected institutions such as the IMF. He also worked closely with various senators and department heads during his internship in the presidential classroom. The initial stage of Jatin Sapru’s career was full of difficulties. Before landing a steady job with a journalism degree, Sapru did odd jobs to manage day-to-day expenses. He distributed pamphlets in public, ran teleprompters for news channels and clicked pictures at fashion shows. During a job interview on news channels, he was humiliated and rejected several times. In one of the interviews, Jatin recounted one such incident, when he could not even enter the building of the news channel, and the guard standing outside the office tore up his resume and threw it in the garbage. It was embarrassing for young Jatin to face such situations and it came to a point where he decided to give up his career and look for other career options; However, he persevered. In October 2006, he was hired by a digital content management company, Tangerine Digital, while he was still finishing college. While working at Tangerine Digital as a content writer and digital commentator, he wrote scripts for sports content and did digital commentary for Mobile ESPN.

Jatini was getting a monthly salary. 6500 while working at Tangerine Digital and his future looked bleak. He did not want to become a television anchor, but it was a lucky coincidence that one of his colleagues encouraged him to audition for the second season of ESPN Dream Job (2007), a national talent hunt for sports anchors. Not only did he pass the audition, but he eventually won the competition.

Confrontation
Although sapru is the kind of person who likes to stay away from controversy, he once landed himself in hot water as a result of which Rawalpindi Express lost his cool. Akhtar replied to Jatin Sapru and said:
First tell me, why are you laughing now? Are you sitting here to ask my opinion or to make fun of me? You can’t call me in the studio and make fun of me”
The incident angered cricket fans across the border in India and Pakistan, who described Sapru’s behavior as completely unprofessional.
After the controversy escalated, Jatin posted his part explaining the incident, saying that his laughter was taken completely out of context by the viewers and that he actually did not intend to insult Shoaib Akhtar, whom he considers his elder brother.

- Jatin Sapru was in class 5 when he first watched a game of cricket. It was the India-Zimbabwe match that his father made him watch. When asked about his fondest childhood cricket memories, Jatin said:
This is India who beat Australia in the 2001 Test series. It was my class X board exams and on this day Harbhajan scored a hat trick. I finished the exam and forced my father to break all the traffic rules because I wanted to get home in time to watch the match.”
