In 2006, Jaiveer Shergill joined the Bar Council of Delhi to practice as an Advocate and started working in the practice of Economic Laws as a Legal Associate. Economic Laws Practice is a recognized Indian law firm specializing in tax and commercial matters. - When Javier Shergill joined the Indian National Congress, he was considered the youngest national media panelist of the Indian National Congress, the youngest representative of the Punjab Congress Party (Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee) and the youngest to be appointed as the Co-Chairman of the Legal Cell of the Punjab Congress.
- According to Javier Shergil, for a successful marriage after the birth of a child, the child’s father must take responsibility with the mother. In 2016, in an interview with the media house, he said,

I start my day by exercising in the morning. I set myself the challenge of trying my hand at 21 recipes in 21 days, including making chocolate cake, gobi parathas and roasted vegetables. Besides, I was learning how to tie a turban.”

- On 24 August 2022, Javier Shergill resigned as the National Spokesperson of the Indian National Congress Party, accusing party leaders of sycophancy within the party. In an interview with the media, he revealed that he tried to meet Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vader for over a year, but they did not work out. She said,
The decision making of the Congress party is no longer in sync with the ground reality. I have been seeking time from Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for over a year, but they are not accepting us in the office.”
In a letter to INC President Sonia Gandhi, he wrote that the interests of party members were limited to self-serving, sycophantic self-absorption. It added that the visions of the party were not aligned with the visions of a modern and young India. he wrote
