Facts/Trivia

  • In 2022, Harsh left the Congress party and joined the BJP in the presence of Union Minister Piyush Goyal and party general secretary Vinod Tawade in New Delhi. When naming the reason for leaving the party, he said.

I have been in Congress for about 45 years. I did not lose the election. Congress was there as long as Virbhadra Singh was there. Today the Congress has become ungovernable. There is no vision and there is no leadership. With the death of Virbhadra Singh, there is nothing left for the Congress in the state. Congress will not win in Himachal and BJP will win again. PM Modi is the only leader who will take the country forward. “

  • In an interview, he alleged nepotism in the Congress party while talking about HPCC chief Pratibha Singh and her MLA son Vikramaditya Singh, saying the Congress has become “invisible, ungovernable and leaderless” and is run by “maa-betas” like in Delhi.
