Bilal Musharraf is a Pakistani Actuary (Certified Accountant) and education specialist. He is best known for being the son of former Pakistan Army Chief and President General Pervez Musharraf.

Career
In 1994, Bilal Musharraf started working with an automobile insurance company called Automobile Insurers Bureau. He worked as an actuarial analyst until 1997. In 1997, Bilal was promoted to the position of senior actuarial analyst in the same company, which he held until 2000. In 2000, Bilal Musharraf moved to the Greater Boston area of the United States, where he was hired by Willis Towers Watson as a benefit. There, his job was to formulate policies for employee benefit plans for employees working for a Fortune 500 company. He worked with the company until 2004. In 2004, he left the United States and moved to the United Arab Emirates. From 2005 to 2006, Bilal Musharraf worked with a company called Emerging Markets as an Assistant Manager, where he conducted intensive research on investment development opportunities for clients in the global economy. In 2005, Bilal Musharraf returned to the United States to pursue an MBA from Stanford University. After completing his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2007, Bilal worked as an intern for a few months at a Chinese company called New Hope Group. There, he conducted supply and demand research on agricultural and business-oriented firms to help his clients formulate productive financial policies. From 2007 to 2009, he worked as a vice president at ePlanet Ventures. In 2009, Bilal moved to San Francisco, where he served as Vice President (Development) at GEMS Education. Under his leadership, GEMS Education established a network of schools in the US that adhered to the International Baccalaureate (IB) standard. In 2010, Bilal left GEMS Education and started working at Khan Academy as Dean of Translations. As Dean of Translations, he established policies that helped the organization promote their educational content in non-English speaking countries. In 2014, he left Khan Academy to join One Market Capital as Director of Operations, LP There, he was tasked with managing operations related to the company’s long/short equity investments in frontier markets. After two years there, Bilal joined Edmodo in 2016 as Director of Strategic Partnerships. There, he established partnerships with various schools and telecommunications companies that led to an overall improvement in the quality of education in the US. In 2019, Bilal Musharraf, at the same company, was promoted to vice president of global strategy and sent to Singapore. As Edmodo’s vice president, Bilal served for a year. In 2020, he left Edmodo and moved to London to work as VP (Partnerships) at Noon Academy. In 2021, he was appointed Executive Director of the Noon Academy and tasked with leading the Noon Open Borders Learning Enablement (NOBLE) program.
