Anurag Bhaduria is an Indian politician who is the national spokesperson of the Samajwadi Party. He is the former state sports minister in the Akhilesh Yadav government in Uttar Pradesh. He is the founder chairman of the Indian Grameen Cricket League (IGCL).

Anurag Singh Bhaduria was born on Thursday, 8 August 1971 (age 52; as of 2023) in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He completed his high school from Colvin Taluquadar Inter College Lucknow in 1994. He completed his Bachelor of Technology degree from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar University of Technology, Loner, Raigarh, Maharashtra in 2000. He went on to pursue a business management program at the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata. He is also a Ph.D. He performed Virsahadi in Flute at Bhatkhande University, Lucknow.

He joined the Samajwadi Party when Mulayam Singh Yadav was the party president. Later, Akhilesh Yadav appointed him as the Uttar Pradesh Samajwadi Party spokesperson. In 2017, he contested the Legislative Assembly elections from the Lucknow East constituency in collaboration with the Samajwadi Party and the Indian National Congress; He lost the election to Ashutosh Tandon of the Bhartiya Janta Party.

Disparaging remarks about Yogi Adityanath
In November 2022, a complaint was filed by BJP spokesperson Hero Bajpai against Anurag for making offensive comments about Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his late guru Mahant Avaidyanath on a private news channel. In this complaint, Bajpai alleged that Anurag had said

An FIR was lodged by the Hazatganj police station against Anurag under Sections 153 (provocation to cause riot), 153 A (fostering enmity between different groups on the basis of religion), 295 A (deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings), 505 (publish or release any statement, rumor or report). After the police asked him to report to the police station, Anurag was absconding and approached the high court for anticipatory bail, but the court dismissed his application.
A fight with a BJP leader
In December 2018, Anurag was invited to a debate on the Zee News channel based in Noida, where during a heated argument, Anurag and BJP leader Gaurav Bhatia got into a fight. Gaurav Bhatia called the police to the news channel site and Anurag was arrested. Gaurav filed an FIR against Anurag under sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 352 (punishment for assault or criminal force other than grave provocation) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation).
