Vinod Tawde is an Indian politician. He is a senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader who started his political career as an Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) student activist and rose to the level of BJP General Secretary. He has served in many key positions in the Maharashtra government, including the Leader of the Opposition Prithviraj Chavan’s government and the Education, Sports, Culture and Marathi Language Minister Devendra Fadnavis government.

Vinod Tawde began his political career in 1980, joining the RSS-affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). In 1988, Vinod was appointed as the General Secretary of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and in 1993, he rose to the position of National Secretary.

In 2015, Leader of the Opposition Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil demanded the resignation of Tawdi, who holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in electronics from Pune’s Sant Dnyaneshwar University.
