Snehlata Pandey (1934-2021) was an Indian physician, physician and nutritionist with over 30 years of experience in the field of fitness and nutrition. Additionally, she was known for being the wife of Sharad Pandey and the mother of Bollywood actors Chunky and Chikki Pandey. He died on 10 July 2021 in Mumbai due to prolonged illness at the age of 87.

Her husband, Sharad Pandey (1934–2004), was an Indian cardiac surgeon who was one of the surgeons who performed the nation’s first heart transplant at the King Edward Memorial Hospital and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College in Mumbai in 1968. On November 8, 2004, Sharad Pandey died at his home in Mumbai at the age of 70.

Chikki Pandey is an Indian businessman who founded the Akshara Foundation of Arts & Learning, a non-profit organization that supports the education of underprivileged children. Career
When Dr. Snehlata Pandey began her career, she noticed that only 20% of patients who needed medical attention were actually unwell, while the remaining 80% of patients had medical problems that were almost always weight-related. After visiting several slimming centers in many countries, Dr. Snehlata Pandey established a beauty salon on August 1, 1974 in Mumbai, Slimel. Enakshi Sheshadri, Madhuri Dixit, Hema Malini and Vinod Khanna. Dr. Pandey has gained expertise in many medical disciplines over the years, including yoga, acupressure, Reiki and hypnosis. Apart from participating in many television programs and talk shows in India and abroad, he has written extensively for various newspapers and magazines. He received many job offers from abroad but continued to practice in Mumbai.

- In an interview, Chunky Panday talked about his mother and said that he used to take her abroad for shows and shoots because he was afraid of his many girlfriends who might get angry if he didn’t take them instead. He recalled how he was often teased for being a mother’s boy, saying:
I traveled everywhere with him and was known as daddy’s boy. Usually heroines take their mothers with them on film trips, I was the only heroine traveling with my mother. And since I didn’t have a steady boyfriend, I took my mother everywhere. I’m glad he saw the world with me.”

- Snehlata, who wanted to have a daughter, used to dress her son Chunki as a girl until she was two years old. He even pushed the earrings. In an interview about this, Chunky Pandey laughed and said:
When I was born, she always wanted a daughter and she gave birth to a son. So he treated me like a girl until he was 2 years old. I used to wear this wonderful income and so today when I go shopping I usually pick up women’s clothes and the shop assistant asks me if it’s for my wife or my daughter and I say it’s for me.”
- He created a special ‘Rekha Diet’ and introduced Rekha to aerobics and a healthy diet which resulted in an iconic transformation of Rekha’s body.
- After Snehlata’s death, her granddaughter Ananya Pandey wrote a note and shared it on her Instagram post saying:
She worked every day until she was 85, arriving at work at 7 a.m. in high heels and red-streaked hair.
