In 2014, Preeti Sud made her acting debut with the crime comedy drama Revolver Rani, directed by Sai Kabir Srivastava. In this film starring Kangana Ranaut and Vir Das, he played the role of Gutki. The film was released in theaters on April 25, 2014. Preeti next starred in the Hindi-language black comedy film ‘Welcome 2 Karachi’ in 2015. The screenplay is written by Vrajesh Hirji and the film is directed by Ashish R Mohan. The actor played a pleasant character in the film. In 2019, the actor starred in the Bollywood film ‘Fraud Saiyaan’. In the romantic dark comedy drama directed by Sourabh Srivastava, she played the role of a character named Preeti. In this film, Preeti worked with Arshad Warsi, Saurabh Shukla, Sarah Lauren, Deepali Pansare, Flora Sain and Nivedita Tiwari among several others. Scam Saiyan is a film about a con man in North India who convinces women to marry him so he can live off their money.
Prakash Jha’s murder drama web series ‘Aashram’ marks Preeti Sud’s digital debut in 2020. She starred in the film alongside Bobby Deol, Aaditi Pohankar, Darshan Kumar, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Tusshar Pandey. He played the role of Sanoberi. Ashram is a film about an Indian godman whose good deeds enable illegal and immoral behaviors such as rape, murder, drugs, voting politics and forced rape of men. The law and several crusaders investigate to bring him to justice. The whole series was well received by the people. Preeti’s acting in the serial was also well received. He told us about his experience of working in a drama series as:
Working in “Ashram” was like a dream! I adore Bobby Deol sir on set and had a huge fan girl moment. When I was offered the part, it was a completely wow moment for me. It was amazing and heartwarming to work with such a talented and hard-working star, but most of all, she was humble, down-to-earth and genuinely supportive. He even encouraged me and said, “You are a very good artist and you are very expressive.” As an actor, these facts gave me great motivation.
he added,
The series was one of my most beautiful journeys. We were shooting in Ayodhya, which itself was so serene and surreal, and I personally believe that the message of the series was so strong that it was extremely satisfying for me as an actor to be a part of it.
Preeti Sud made her directorial debut in 2020 with the short film “Antoo Ki Amma”. It is the story of Antu, a school student and his mother Rani who live in a rural area. Their cow is known as Vimmo. They cannot provide basic needs. This is a story about emotions, community and optimism. Antu’s true devotion to his cow Vimmo and one case that exposed illegal cattle. Preeti herself played the role of Antu’s mother Rani in the film. He went to Kargil to get to know the lifestyle of the people before shooting the film. In an interaction with the media before the shooting of the film, he said,
I am going to Kargil to meet these children and work with them. I will conduct various workshops with these children to help them get a better and holistic education. I will also show them my film. We will also have a question and answer session with these children so that I can understand how I can help these children. They are the main part of me and I would do anything to help them.
On November 11, 2020, the second season of crime drama web series Aashram started streaming. The actor gained fame and recognition by working in both seasons of the show. Thanking fans for their support, he said:
Thank you to my fans and audience for all the love and appreciation you have shown me over the past 2 months! I am very proud and happy that my hard work was recognized at the beginning of the release of both the projects, I was worried, thinking what if I don’t give my best performance or if my character will connect with the audience, but my producer from both the shows Prakash jha and Antoo ki Aamma producer Mika singh both were so supportive as they always supported their role. The reason why I am here today, after posting, I saw the social media audience showering love, commenting, messaging on my work, which gave me so much courage that I was very happy and promised myself to give my best performances without worrying about my future projects.
Facts/Trivia
- In one of the interviews, the Ashram actor spoke to the media about how he protected two girls and destroyed a child trafficking ring in Mumbai. He recalls that a friend approached him and informed him that two little girls in the cabin were dressed unusually. Preeti jumped into action and reached her destination. After that there was a drama in which the girl’s strength won and the police were called. Explaining the whole situation, he said,
I live near the cabin where the two girls were brought and prepared to fly to the US. On March 4, around 1:30 PM, a friend of mine informed me on the phone that two little girls were in a beauty salon in Versova with some people doing makeup and talking about sending them to the US. The girls looked very innocent and did not know their fate. As soon as I received the information, I rushed to the spot and found the girls about to leave the salon with two men waiting outside. A car belonging to them was parked outside the cabin. That’s when my doubts got stronger and I started confronting them. I asked the men with the girls who were in a hurry to leave the place. The girls told me that they were from Gujarat and when I asked about their parents, one of the four men asked me what I should do with them. He told me that the girls were brought to the salon because they were going to attend a marriage ceremony.

Before they tried to leave, I stopped and called the police. When the police arrived, I told them what had happened. Then the policemen took the men to the Versova police station.
- When asked about the experience of auditioning for different opportunities, he said:
Some will say I’m too fair for this role, some will say I’m too young/old for it. I had many questions, but they did not answer me. Worse, they changed me in the movie at the last minute and told me it was because I was prettier than the character!
