Nishad Fatima, also known as Nishat Kirmani Ali, was born in 1983 (age 38 years; as of 2021) in Bangalore, India. She attended Bishop Cotton College for Women in Bangalore to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree. Later, in 2011, he completed a special teacher’s course in autism from the Karnataka Society of Spastics.

Nishad Fatima married Syed Fakhar Ali, a Pakistani cricketer, in a private Nikah ceremony held in January 2002 in Bangalore. Fakhar Ali was the son of former Indian cricketer Abid Ali. Fakhar Ali also served as the regional director of a software company called Multimedia Inc in Strace, California. Nishad’s father, Syed Kirman, hosted a reception for the couple in Bangalore on 29 August 2002. A year later, the couple was blessed with a boy named Syed Haider Ali.

While playing a league match for the Tracy United Cricket Club in the Northern California Cricket Association league in Fremont, Fakhar suffered a massive heart attack and was rushed to Washington Hospital in Fremont, where he was pronounced dead about 15 minutes later. The incident happened on April 19, 2008.
In 2008, Nishad Fatima married Rizwan Ali, an Indian fitness trainer and swimming coach. Nishad met her current husband Rizwani at a hockey club in Bangalore. Recalling the Christmas tree incident with Rizwan, Nishad Fatima said:

- Nishad Fatima had an arranged marriage with Syed Fakhar Ali. The couple met and saw each other for the first time at the Nika ceremony. Nishid and Fakhar’s father were friends and decided to arrange a marriage for their children. Syed Kirmani, speaking of his daughter’s marriage to Abid Ali’s son, said:
Apparently, Fakhar liked what he saw of my daughter (at the wedding ceremony in Hyderabad). He decided that she was his partner. I never knew all this. Then, a year ago, Abidbhai called from America and said, “Look, bhai, I want to take your daughter; I want her to marry my son.’
He also added,

- Nishad Fatima learned about her son’s Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (PDDNOS), a type of autism spectrum disorder. in 2008. 25-year-old Nishad, who has already recovered from the death of her husband, faced a big shock. She returned to the US for better treatment for her son. During an interaction with the media, she recounted one of the most difficult moments she faced with her son as:
I returned to India for a holiday in 2010 and it was during this time that Haider developed a phobia of flying. We had to go to the US via Hong Kong. Hyder refused to fly from Hong Kong to California, and we got off the plane three times. They waited for a long time at the airport, 12 hours. We calmed him down but he woke up before take off. The flight was on the runway and it turned back after Hyder created chaos.
- In 2011, in order to treat her son better, Nishad Fathima enrolled at the Karnataka Society of Spastics to learn a special autism teacher’s course, which eventually helped her understand how to properly treat her son. Years later, her son has fared much better than his original condition and is being successfully treated.
- Nishad Fatima firmly believes that her parents went out of their way to help her on her journey. From her husband’s death to her son’s disorder, she has been through a lot at a very young age. He thanked his parents and said:
My trust in the Almighty never wavered while I faced many challenges. My father and mother and the whole family stood behind me. My father was my mentor and he always reminded me to keep going. There was a time when I played the double role of Haider. Everyone showed love and sympathy for the child, but I had to strike a balance between love, discipline and principle. I’m glad I did it. “
