Manoj Joshi is an Indian theater artist, actor and film and theater director. In 2018, he received the Padma Shri award for his work in the field of acting. He is known for playing Chanakya in the Hindi-Gujarati theater play ‘Chanakya’ for over 25 years.

Manoj Joshi aka Manoj N Joshi was born on Friday, September 3, 1965 (age 57 years; as of 2022) in Goregaon, Maharashtra. Her zodiac sign is Virgo. He went on to do his BA from Mithibai College of Arts, Mumbai. He later did a Diploma in Commercial Art from Sir JJ School of Art, Mumbai. During his studies in college, he attended theater classes and painting courses. He wrote a Marathi play titled ‘Karma’ during his college days.

Career
Manoj started his career as a cashier at Hotel Sidhharth in Mumbai. However, he quit his job after a few months because he couldn’t handle the finances. He then worked for several magazines like ‘Janmabhoomi’, ‘Gentleman’ and ‘Economic and Political Weekly’. He drew caricatures for magazines and earned 50 to 100 GEL every month. He later joined a firm called EPW Communist Trust where he earned a monthly salary of Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000.
