Raju Tolani graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi. Bridge is a team card game. In an interview, he talked about the bridge game and said,
In the 1970s and 1980s, bridge was a part of the culture in the IITs and IIMs. There was no rat race going on and people would find time to play games of intellectual value. You can bask in the glory of an intelligent gambit.”
