Rabi Ahmed was born on January 17 in Lahore, Pakistan. His zodiac sign is Capricorn. He said he had always had an interest in music and his room was filled with music CDs, guitar lesson books and music textbooks. The walls of his room had posters of Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Page and Santana.

Not much is known about Rabi’s parents and family. He mentioned in the interview that he is the eldest among his siblings and he likes to take care of them. According to him, his mother is his best friend and his father is his biggest morale booster and they are the two pillars of his life.

Rabbi posted on Instagram to wish Eid. he wrote
As long as we keep our faith in him, no evil can hinder our hearts, and no sorrow can ruin our day.”
He also posted about uniting people with religion while congratulating Ramdaan Mubarak on Instagram. She said,
Let religion unite us in the cause of humanity and goodness rather than divide us in the name of faith. “
Career
Rabi started his musical journey with his debut single titled Bundeya in December 2012. He then appeared in the first season of Nescafe Basement in the same year where he performed the song Awari with his band member Adnan Dhool. The song was such a hit that the show’s producer Xulfi sent the track to Mohit Suri, the director of the Bollywood film Ek Villain. He loved the song and approached both the band members to edit the song for his film, Ek Villain. In an interview, the rabbi revealed the story and said:
The producers approached us. Both the production house and Mohit want to really like the song, so Adnan and I had a series of discussions and brainstorming sessions and revised it as per the requirements of Ek Villain.
The song became very popular with fans and Rabi’s band earned 4 nominations in 2015 in the Best Music Direction category. The song was a worldwide success and so were Sochi band members Rabi Ahmed and Adnan Dool. In response to the thanks, the rabbi said:
The response has been overwhelming and we are overwhelmed. Awar is praised and applauded all over the world. We are very humbled by the appreciation and attention from people from all walks of life.”
In 2016, Rabi decided to devote his time and efforts to the Pakistani music industry, so his band wrote, produced and composed 4 songs out of 7 for the musical romantic film ‘Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hai’. Later he gave several hit songs like Tera Deewana (2021), Befikrey (2019), Dushman E Jaan (Slow) etc.
In February 2019, Rabi released his song “Bol hu” in the first episode of season 5 of Nescafe Basement, which was featured in the Bollywood thriller Malang.

One of the most prominent and prolific singers in the Indian music industry, Sonu Nigam was moved to tears while listening to this song. Reacting to the song, he shared a video on social media and said that he was impressed with the song’s vocals and lyrics, which is almost impossible in the modern age.

Rabi took Sonu’s praises and responded by reposting the video on his Instagram handle with the caption,

Xulf, who is the producer of Nescafe Basement, also took to Facebook to thank Sonu for his heartfelt reaction to the song. He also thanked the ace singer for motivating the singers. She said,
I don’t have just one thing to thank you for, there are many things. The first thing I want to thank him for is that his reaction must have cheered the souls of Adnan, Rabi and Hadiya. There is no comparison to this. They want to work harder to achieve their dreams. God gave you a gift; Don’t let it go to waste.”
Rabi Ahmed along with his co-band Adnan appeared in the 5th season of Coke Studio and collaborated with the Bhatt brothers for the season 14 song “Neray Neray Vas”. The song was originally a feel-good track by Rabi and Adnan in the mid-2000s, revamped into a Bhangra style, using Harmonium, Tumbi, Matka and Chimtas. Rabi explained in an interview that he and his bandmate decided to rework the original sweet and soulful song into an upbeat number because they didn’t want to be labeled as just a Sufi group.
