Kuldeep Bishnoi is an Indian political leader from the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is a member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly from Adampur in Hisar, Haryana for the fourth term in 2022. He is a former member of the Congress Central Working Committee (CWC). Kuldeep Bishnoi, along with his father Bhajan Lal Bishnoi, founded the political party Haryana Janhit Congress in 2007, which was part of the Indian National Congress until 2016.

Career
Kuldeep Bishnoi entered politics in 1998 when he contested and won the Legislative Assembly elections from Haryana’s Adampur constituency. In 2004, he was elected as a member of the Legislative Assembly in the Lok Sabha elections from Biwan constituency, defeating his rivals and the sons of Om Prakash Chautala, who was serving as the Chief Minister of Haryana at the time, and Bansi Lalli, who was the former Chief Minister of Haryana.
Haryana Janhit Congress – (HJC) (BL)
After Kuldeep was expelled from the Indian National Congress in 2007, Kuldeep Bishnoi founded his own political party Haryana Janhit Congress – (HJC) (BL) with his father Bhajan Lal Bishnoi. He was ousted by the then Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda for undermining the interests of Haryana farmers by promoting Special Economic Zones (SEZs) on fertile land.
In October 2009, his party won seven seats in the state assembly elections. Its representatives contested from 89 seats out of 90 constituencies of Haryana. He contested from Adampur constituency and won. His father contested and won from Yasar Lok Sabha constituency. After the election results were declared, six of the seven elected representatives of the Haryana Janhit Congress – (HJC) (BL) party supported the Indian National Congress. These representatives were selected by the INC for several important ministerial posts. Kuldeep Bishnoi filed a case against these six representatives in the Punjab and Haryana High Court, which ruled that the traitors were not eligible to be appointed as members of the Haryana Legislative Assembly.
Alliance with Bhartiya Janata Party
Kuldeep Bishnoi and his HJC party entered into an alliance with the Bhartiya Janata Party in 2011 after the death of his father Bhajanlal Bishnoi. The alliance ceremony of the two parties was achieved by prominent BJP leaders like Nitin Gadkari, Sushma Swaraj and former minister Prof. Ganesh Lal during a press meet. After that, he re-contested from the Adampur constituency in the same year and won the election, defeating his rivals Ajay Singh Chautala of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and Jai Prakash of the Indian National Congress. The alliance between the two parties ended in 2014 ahead of the state assembly elections in Haryana. Kuldeep Bishnoi stated the reason for separation in a media interview. He said that the BJP was not following the terms of the party. In 2022, he was expelled from the Indian National Congress, and on 4 August 2022, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Alliance with the Indian National Congress
Kuldeep Bishnoi and his HJC party entered into an alliance with the Indian National Congress in 2016 after the party met with Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi.
Soon, Kuldeep was appointed to the Congress Working Committee (CWC) as a special invitee. During the 2018 Rajasthan Assembly elections, Kuldeep Bishnoi was the main election campaigner. The following year, she contested the Adampur constituency during the state assembly elections and won the election, defeating her rival and Bhartiya Janata Party candidate Sonali Phogat by 29,782 votes.
