Confrontation
In 2013, he and his wife were arrested for forgery and fraud. The case was registered by former Public Relations Officer (PRO) Rajeev Kumar Yadav at Lucknow’s Aliganj police station. Yadav said that in 2009, Raghuraj Pratap Singh opened a bank account in his name and submitted forged documents and signatures. He also alleged that HDFC Bank Aliganj Branch Manager Waliullah Sarwar Ali helped Raghuraj open the account without verifying the documents and their signatures. A case has been registered under sections 419, 420, 467, 468 and 471 of the IPC, which cover forgery of valuable security and cheating.

- On 7 November 2007, he was appointed as a director of Shree Da Properties Private Limited.
- In February 2023, he filed a complaint against Uttar Pradesh legislator Akash Pratap Singh, accusing him of fraudulently acquiring a majority stake in Shree Da Properties Private Limited. In the complaint, he said:
Akshay Pratap Singh obtained a majority stake in the company by forging his digital signature and also appointed himself and his associates as directors of the company.
Akshay, along with 5 others, was charged with the Economic Offenses Cell of the Delhi Police. A case was registered under IPC sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 109 and 120B on Bhanvi’s complaint.
- In April 2023, her husband Raghuraj filed for divorce on the grounds of mental cruelty and desertion. The next hearing of the case was scheduled for May 23, 2023. The court gave Bhanvi time to respond as the divorce was not filed on mutual grounds. In the divorce case, he stated that Bhanvi had left the matrimonial home and was not living with him. He also said that his family had a lot of problems after he falsely accused his brother. According to reports, their relationship soured when Raghuraj sided with his brother against his wife.
