Career
Niral Kumar Dhara became a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after completing his formal education. In 2016, he contested the West Bengal Legislative Assembly elections on a BJP ticket from Indasi constituency, which is reserved for SC candidates, and lost. He was defeated in the election by Gurupada Mete, the All India Trinamool Congress (AITMC) candidate. He contested and won the 2021 assembly elections in West Bengal from Indus constituency on a BJP ticket. In the elections, he defeated his nearest rival Gurupada Mete by 7220 votes.
