Later, he pursued a BA in history. at Hindu College, New Delhi. While studying at Hindu College, he started acting in theater productions. He then joined the theater group Act One and Sambhav Theater Group in New Delhi. In 1990, he completed the acting course at the National School of Drama in New Delhi.
