Aata Sandeep was born on Sunday, 17 June 1984 (age 39 years; as of 2023) in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh (now, Hyderabad, Telangana). His zodiac sign is Gemini. He grew up in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.

He did his schooling at Sri Rama Krishna Public School, Shantinagar, Kakinada. He was inclined towards dance from a very young age and used to imitate the dance moves of his favourite actors. Growing up, Sandeep performed on the iconic songs of famous actors at yearly festivals and events. After completing his schooling, Sandeep moved to Hyderabad with his parents. There, he was given a choice to either pursue a bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications or a dance course by his parents. Sandeep decided to go ahead with the dance course. He also attended New Science College, Hyderabad, to pursue his graduation.

Aata Sandeep started his career as a choreographer and dance instructor in the Telugu film industry. In 2007, he participated in Zee Telugu’s reality TV dance show Aata Season 1 and emerged as the winner of the show along with Tina Sadhu.

He then competed in various dance reality TV shows. Aata Sandeep soon started making his dance videos on various social media platforms like TikTok and gained immense popularity. On 8 April 2011, he created a YouTube channel named Aata Sandeep Dance Master, where he uploads his choreography videos, food recipe videos, and day-to-day personal life videos. The channel has more than 1 million subscribers on it. Sandeep has also received a Silver YouTube Play Button for his channel.
