In 2006, Vikas reportedly made headlines for suffering on the sets while shooting for the television show Left Right Left on SAB TV. Some sources revealed that he had unwanted fights with his female co-stars and due to his demands and character, the shooting was halted several times. A source revealed that while shooting an important scene, the producer asked Vikas to get into a particular outfit, but she refused to wear it and asked for an outfit of her choice. Later, the producer did not meet her request and she had to be filmed in a costume.

In April 2008, Vikas Manaktala filed an arbitration petition in the Bombay High Court against the producers of his debut show Left Right Left, Tony Singh and Deeya Singh, who owned the producer’s DJ’s Creative Unit. Vikas claimed in his petition that in May 2006 he signed a one-year contract with the producers for the television show Left Right Left. His contract was renewed in May 2007, but he was not called upon to film after November 2007. Vikas claimed that he was bound by the contract and could not work with other producers. In addition, he accused the producers of not paying his dues, which are around 28 million GEL. The court issued a notice in favor of Vikas on May 6, 2008, allowing her to work with other production houses.

In 2014, after the show Main Naa Bhulungi aired on Sony TV, there were reports of an ongoing feud between Vikas Manaktala and Aishwarya Sakhuja. He tried to guide Niagara on how to do his scenes, which he didn’t like. Several members of the unit left the show because of him. He is so demanding that he refused to take a normal shower after filming in the swimming pool. Instead, he paused the shoot for four hours to check out nearby hotels for a shower.”

In an interview, Vikas spoke about Neeti’s behavior on the sets and how it affected their shooting schedule, saying;
