Shine Tom Chacko is an Indian actor and former assistant director working in Malayalam cinema. After working as an assistant to director Kamal for about 9 years, he made his acting debut in 2011 with the Malayalam film ‘Khaddama’. He played his first lead role in the Malayalam comedy film ‘Ithihasa’ in 2014. The film ‘Who’ (2018), an international film from Kerala, was screened at the Cannes201 Film Festival.

Accused of buying and keeping drugs
Shiney Tom Chacko, along with four other women, were arrested on drug possession charges. The case is registered under the Law on Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances. Police found 10 grams of cocaine worth one million rupees in the international market. They were caught at a party in Kadavanthra’s apartment, where they used drugs. One woman had seven grams of cocaine. However, the court granted them bail with seven different conditions. These conditions include reporting to the investigating officer every Monday and Thursday for six months, surrendering their passports to the lower court, obtaining court permission to leave Kerala, providing their residential details and making themselves available for questioning if necessary. They were strongly warned to abide by these conditions as any violation would result in the cancellation of their bail.
