On 30 October 2022, after Aryan Khan was released from Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai, Ravi Singh took him back to Shah Rukh Khan’s residence in Manat. After Aryan’s release, in October 2021, Shah Rukh Khan announced that he was looking for a new bodyguard for himself, so Ravi made Arya his bodyguard. Ravi Singh is one of the highest paid bodyguards in Bollywood.

In 2014, the Bandra Kurla police station in Mumbai arrested Ravi Singh after he pushed a Marathi actor named Sharwan during an event while trying to control the crowd. In November 2022, the Customs Department, after receiving intelligence from the Air Intelligence Unit of Income Tax, arrested Ravi Singh at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai while he was returning to India from Dubai with Shah Rukh Khan. According to the representative of the customs department, Ravi Singh was carrying several expensive watches worth Rs 17.86 lakh. Ravi was allowed to leave the airport after he paid Rs 6.88 lakh as customs duty. The representative of the customs service said in an interview:
SRK and his team arrived at the GA terminal around 12:30 PM. Unlike T2, where there are different color-coded channels for different types of passengers and screenings related to their duties, the GA terminal has no separate classification. So the whole team was carrying 6-7 bags going through security and had some watch cases (specialized cases used for luxury watches) and one Apple watch that they didn’t have a receipt for because they said it was a gift. We looked up the cost of these items online and found that everything together cost 17.86 GEL. Ravi Singh, who is from SRK’s security team (Ravi is Shah Rukh Khan’s trusted bodyguard) was escorted with one bag containing goods to Terminal 2 along with one customs officer. There, Ravi paid customs duty of 6.88 GEL (calculated at 38 percent).”5.
Earlier, several media houses had reported that the customs department had detained Shah Rukh Khan for hours, however, a customs official confirmed that it was not Shah Rukh Khan who was detained, but his bodyguards. This was announced by the representative of the customs service.
