Ashu Singh was born as ‘Ashu Singh Nagar’ on Wednesday, 7 October 1998 (age 25 years; as of 2023) in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. His zodiac sign is Libra. He completed his schooling at the Oxford Green Public School(OGPS), Sirsa, Greater Noida. Ashu Singh completed his graduation at the Galgotias University, Dankaur, Uttar Pradesh.

In 2019, Ashu Singh participated in the All India Inter University Championship in which he represented the Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University (Jaunpur). He earned a total of 15 tackle points and a 40.53% average out rate. In the same year, Ashu was picked up by the Lucknow-based kabaddi team ‘UP Yoddhas’ and made his Pro Kabaddi League debut with season 7 of the Pro Kabaddi League. He scored a total of 89 tackle points along with an overall average time on-mat percentage of 72.3%. In the following year, Ashu Singh represented his home state kabaddi team in the 67th Senior National Kabaddi Championships in Jaipur in which the Uttar Pradesh team won the bronze medal in the finals. In 2021, he was retained by the team ‘UP Yoddhas’ for season 8 of the Pro Kabaddi League in which Ashu scored 99 tackle points with 86.19% of average time on mat.

In 2022, Ashu Singh participated and represented the Uttar Pradesh state kabaddi team in the 36th National Games which were held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Ashu’s team defeated the Maharashtra team and won the gold medal in the tournament finals.

In 2023, Ashu Singh also represented the Uttar Pradesh state in the 37th National Games of India which were held in Goa. The team won the gold medal in the tournament finals against Goa’s kabaddi team with an overall score of 61-30.
