The first suicide attempt in 2021
On December 27, 2021, he attempted suicide by taking poison; However, his neighbors heard about it and took him to the hospital, where doctors were able to revive him. After recovering, he said that he took the extreme step due to financial problems.
Second suicide attempt in 2023
On 14 June 2023, Tirthanand Rao attempted suicide by consuming phenyl on Facebook Live. She stated on live TV that her partner was threatening her with a false rape case. Some of his friends informed the police, who came to his apartment, found him unconscious and took him to the hospital, where doctors were able to save him. After recovering, she said her live-in partner had two daughters living with them. Later, he discovered that his partner was also a prostitute, which is why he wanted to break up with her; However, he started making threats, which is why he had to sleep on footpaths. She said,
I am 3-4 million in debt because of this woman. I have known him since October last year. He filed a police complaint against me in Bhayandar and I didn’t even know for what reason. Then he would also call me and tell me that he wanted to meet. I met a woman. He has two daughters. We also lived together. During the relationship, I found out that she works as a prostitute. I wanted to get rid of him. But that woman started threatening me. On the contrary, he initiated a case against me. I’ve been running for a long time because of that fear. I could not go home for many days and had to sleep on the footpath. I’m fed up with this and that’s why I want to kill myself.”
