Sharman started his career as a theater artiste and subsequently acted in various theater productions in different languages like Gujarati, Hindi, English and Marathi. He mainly performed at Thakorbhai Desai Hall, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Some of his popular theater productions are “All the Best”, “Ame Lai Gaya, Tame Rahi Gaya” and “Main Aur Tumi”. In addition to participating in theatrical productions, he has also staged several theatrical productions. In 2016, he made his debut as a theater director in the Hindi theater production ‘Main Aur Tum’.

In 2017, he collaborated with a UK-based company to produce the award-winning stage play The Play That Goes Wrong. Speaking about the collaboration in an interview, Sharman said:
